This deck is designed to be as maintenance-free as possible. The decking and the rails are composite, the balusters are vinyl, the posts are pressure-treated lumber covered with a vinyl sleeve and cap, and the white trim around the columns and deck is long-lasting Miratec.

A pair of 6-by-6 pressure-treated posts rest on galvanized brackets mounted in concrete. Spanning the 15-foot gap between the posts is a triple 2-by-10 pressure-treated beam. The joists are pressure-treated 2-by-8s mounted with joist hangers. |

The screen is new, as is the PVC-framed screen door. |
